BOOKING CONDITIONS

 

 

By making payment, we understand that you have read and accepted these conditions.



Deposits and Payments

If bookings are made more than 30 days before commencement of journey, a non-refundable deposit of $200 per passenger is required within 3 calendar days of confirmation or the booking will be cancelled. The balance of payment is due 45 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days of commencement of journey require full payment at time of booking. Subject to change when special supplier/airfare conditions apply.

Amendment Fees
Any voluntary change of departure date and/or amendment of itinerary by you after acceptance will incur an amendment fee of $75 per passenger for International travel or $35 per passenger for Domestic travel together with any amendment fees imposed by third party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, cruise operators, tour operators, rail operators and/or car rental companies.

Cancellations
Fees will be charged if you cancel or terminate your booking. All cancellations must be received in writing. For cancellations received 15 days or more prior to scheduled departure the deposit will be forfeited to Delta Holidays, together with any fees levied by third party suppliers. Cancellations received within 14 days of scheduled departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellation policies associated with airfares vary according to the airfare terms and conditions of the respective airline. Delta Holidays reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 25% of the total value of the airfare for any cancellation request irrespective of the nature of the cancellation. For applicable airfare conditions and charges please check with your travel consultant at the time of booking.

Refunds
No refund is given for unused or cancelled services after travel has commenced.

Cancellations and Amendments by Third Party Suppliers
All third party suppliers reserve the right to cancel, reschedule or amend any itinerary in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond their control. This includes airline schedule changes or alterations to cruise itineraries. Where amendments beyond the control of Delta Holidays require the Company to add or amend a service/s resulting in an increased operating cost, a surcharge may be payable by you for the additional or amended service/s.

Prices and Surcharges
All pricing is in Australian Dollars. Prices include all government levies, airport taxes and fees and are valid at time of booking but subject to change until full payment is received due to variables outside our control such as currency fluctuations, changes in government legislation, air prices or fuel surcharges. You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for the payment of all surcharges and price increases.

Credit Card Payments
All payment transactions will incur an additional fee if paid by credit card. This fee is dependent on the type of credit card and transaction amount.

Travel Documents
Travel documents will be issued after final payment has been received and are normally sent two weeks prior to departure. Travel documents are not transferrable. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport holder.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking to cover you against cancellation charges, baggage loss and unforseen medical expenses.

Passport and Visa Requirements
Passports must have at least six months validity beyond your return date to Australia. For information regarding visas and the latest destination travel advice please refer to the Department of Foreign Affairs website: https://smartraveller.gov.au

Responsibilities
Delta Holidays Pty Ltd acts only as an agent for those who provide the accommodation, transportation and other services associated with the itinerary. We hereby give notice that all tickets, vouchers, coupons and other documents issued by the Company and all arrangement for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodation made by the Company, are made as agents for the traveller, upon the express condition that we shall not be liable for any death, loss, injury or damage, which may be occasioned by reason of defect in any vehicle or through the acts of default of any company or person engaged in conveying the traveller or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour, otherwise in connection there with or of any guest-house or hotel proprietor or employee. The aforesaid agent accepts no responsibility for losses or accidental expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, guest-house or hotel overbooking or defaults, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. All such losses or expenses are borne by the traveller. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the itinerary unless insured. The right is reserved to decline to accept or return any person as a member of any tour or to cancel or withdraw the tour. All tours and arrangements are subject to the General Conditions as specified by each individual supplier and pertaining to ground transportation, meals, sightseeing, luggage, tips and taxes, deposits and cancellations. Items of a personal nature, such as phone calls, beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, gratuities, passport and visa fees, airport taxes, excess luggage and insurance are not included in itinerary cost. Airlines are responsible only for the air travel portion of the itinerary in accordance with the terms and conditions of their individual passage contracts and are subject to applicable laws, treaties and regulations governing air transportation. The aforementioned conditions shall also apply in regard to any other means of transportation in connection with the itinerary. The usual passage contract is used by airlines and the passenger(s); and in purchasing a passage contract as a part of the itinerary the passenger acknowledges and accepts the foregoing conditions. Airlines will not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are on board its aircraft. Passengers travelling on fares which have restricted conditions must at all times comply with these conditions.
