Day 1:
ADELAIDE (D)
Upon arrival at Adelaide Airport, transfer by private vehicle to your accommodation for the evening. Tonight, meet your fellow travellers and enjoy a two-course Welcome Dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: Pullman Adelaide
Day 2:
ADELAIDE - THE GHAN (B,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer to the Adelaide Parklands Terminal. It’s all aboard as The Legendary Ghan departs for Alice Springs at 12:15pm. Enjoy a light lunch in the Restaurant Car as you travel north towards Spencer Gulf and Port Augusta. Settle into your Gold Service cabin and watch the passing scenery before meeting new found friends for a drink in the Outback Explorer Lounge followed by dinner.

Day 3:
THE GHAN - ALICE SPRINGS (BR, D)
Set foot in the remote reaches of northern South Australia to witness an unforgettable Outback sunrise as part of The Ghan’s dawn short stop at Marla. After brunch on board, The Ghan arrives in Alice Springs. You have time to look around the town or enjoy an Off Train Experience (reservations may be made on-board the train). Re-board the train and enjoy the desert scenery as you continue your journey north.

Day 4:
THE GHAN - KATHERINE & DARWIN (B,L)
Arrive in Katherine and choose from several Off Train Experiences, including a boat cruise on the famous Katherine Gorge or a coach tour of the town and surrounds. Re-board The Ghan to continue the journey north through the lush countryside of the Top End. Arrive in Darwin and transfer by coach to your hotel for the next three nights. This evening is at leisure for you to explore the city.

Day 5:
DARWIN - HALF DAY CITY SIGHTS & SUNSET CRUISE (B,D)
After breakfast, head off on a private coach tour of the city – the perfect introduction to Darwin. See the Chinese Temple and the lush Botanical Gardens. Tour the historic sites of the city including East Point Military Precinct, the Stokes Hill Wharf area and the Mooring Basin. There is also time to explore the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory before returning to the hotel by 12:30pm. This afternoon is free to relax or continue exploring the city at your own pace. This evening, transfer to Stokes Hill Wharf for a sunset harbour cruise. The dinner cruise onboard the “Charles Darwin” is a great way to take in the famous Darwin sunset while enjoying a delicious Territory-style meal with Australian seafood and local produce, all in air-conditioned comfort.

Day 6:
DARWIN - FULL DAY LITCHFIELD TOUR (B,L)
Enjoy breakfast before setting off on a full day tour exploring Litchfield National Park’s spectacular waterfalls and cascades, and the amazing magnetic and cathedral termite mounds. On arrival back in Darwin, return to the hotel or be dropped at Mindil Beach Markets. Renowned for awesome sunsets over the sea, the markets boast over 200 stalls offering delicious food and specialty arts and crafts. Pick up a souvenir of your trip before making your own way back to the hotel (a 10 minute taxi ride).

DARWIN DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Darwin Airport for your onward journey. If you plan to extend your stay in the Northern Territory, we suggest a day tour to Kakadu National Park. Please ask us for more details.
